Interestingly, glass is not truly a solid. However, it is not a liquid either. Instead, glass is an amorphous solid flows at a rate imperceptible to the human eye. In fact, it flows so slowly it would take trillions of years for glass at room temperature to appear "melted". Glass is made from heating sand to about 1700 degrees Celsius until it is a liquid. When the melted sand cools, it becomes what we think of as glass, an amorphous solid.

Then why does glass shatter into solid pieces?
Very interesting
Wasn’t aware of this fact
